TO
JAPAN!!!!
I'mgoingtoJAPANJAPANJAPANJAPAN!!!
To study abroad. For a loooooong while.
So. How am I feeling right now?
Nervous enough to get the TSA agent who was spouting out instructions at the security check point annoyed. Excited enough that I'm lucky it didn't come off as nervous energy of the dangerous sort. I'm also a little sleep deprived and gearing up for not sleeping the whole way to Japan (that just means I have about 6 movies to get through. I'm cool with that).
I'm going back to Japan. Do you have any idea how much I've missed it? I can already smell the rain in the petals of the trees, hear the sounds of Ichihara, smell the air...I didn't think I'd ever get a chance to go back to Japan, let alone for a study abroad experience. I'm overwhelmed at the love my Father shows me, is showing me, will show me in the coming months. I'm finding contacts all over Japan - some with Spider connections and art backgrounds and others who will be encouraging brothers and sisters in faith.
I'm very excited about meeting my host family (hoping my host brothers will like the gifts I got them :) but I'm also a little nervous. This past semester of Japanese hasn't been my strongest...I'm worried I won't be able to communicate much or well.
Any prayer warriors out there who happen to think of me over the summer/fall semester could pray that I learn to be patient with myself and allow myself to make language mistakes instead of just staying silent. I want to be a great witness for our Father every day. Please pray for me that I can be an ambassador of the Most High! I want to bless my Heavenly Father just as much as He's blessing me.
I'MSOEXCITEDNERVOUSINANTICIPATIONMYLEGWON'TSTOPBOUNCINGUPANDDOWN...I look hyperactive :s
I miss you so much already :). I think you left your glasses here? Don't worry - that's what shipping is for! HAPPY ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 Mom
ReplyDeleteSo fun, Em! I can't wait to read all about your trip! As someone who has studied a language and then gone to the country where they speak it and felt intimidated, I will tell you that you will soak it up like a sponge. Don't be afraid to try, and I'm sure that in a few days' time (like, probably already), you'll be thinking in Japanese and it will come so much easier. Let them help you if you need help, but just try!! ((((Hugs))))
